That Time I Blew Up My Mug⛾

I absolutely love mugs. Especially mugs with punny sayings on them. So that goes to say when I blew up my mug it was most definitely on accident . I am not a morning person...at all. I want to be so badly, but I'm not. 😴 A couple of months back as I was getting ready to leave in the morning I decided to try and heat up some water in the microwave instead of the Keurig. I chose a mug like I always do, filled it with water, stuck it in the microwave and pressed start. All of sudden I see flashes coming from the microwave window, so I panic press stop and my adrenaline has now woken me up with no doubt! I look and yep...I had put in a mug with a metal rim on the top. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ My cute, sparkly mug was now a burnt to a crisp, yet still slightly sparkly mug. See what happens when I'm too tired and before I drink my morning coffee?? 😂😂 Note to self: stick to the Keurig from now on, in the mornings at least!

Vegas: A Place For Fun & Meltdowns At Evil Dead

A couple years ago in Vegas one of the things I was really wanting to go see was the Evil Dead parody play because I had watched the movie recently and I love scary things. My mom being the good mom agreed to go with me (thank you mom). I wasn't 21 yet so we got in line quite a bit early since it was getting pretty late but my mom had a few beers before on the walk there. As the night went on the and the line got longer we weren't moving and it had been over an hour that we had been standing there waiting to get in. My mom was starting to get a bit impatient at this point. FINALLY a few of the actors came out to the line to start letting people in but first they decided to dance around some... I was looking at the different costumes, they were dressed like zombies and some of the guys were dressed like women when I hear a yell from a familiar voice "Let's get this show on the road!" I glared over at my mom who was the one yelling this! Now I'm getting nervous

The Chronicles of Living With a Guy Pt. 1

It was a peaceful Thursday morning just like any other morning. I was going to get up for work soon but was enjoying my last few minutes laying in bed relaxing. All of a sudden I hear yells for help and what sounded like a fire hydrant exploded! I'm laying there still half asleep thinking to myself wtf?! Once I finally get up and make my way to the room all of these sounds are coming from I realize it's my boyfriend holding my (was full) can of hairspray that he knocked over and broke the lid off and it's spraying uncontrollably! He keeps asking for help and I'm at a loss because in all my years of using hairspray and the countless cans I've gone thru this had never happened to me so I didn't know how to fix the problem! 🤷🏻‍♀️ After a good couple of minutes of this we got the cap secured back on and luckily I was able to use it (although it now sprays sideways😂) and go on with our days after getting the excitement out of the way. Needless to say the floor

Bingo!!!

When I first turned 18 I used to go to bingo. I could finally legally gamble and had been waiting to win some serious cash. So occasionally me and a friend or family would go somewhere to play it, like Big B Bingo. For awhile this turned into something fun to go check out on the regular. One day my mom and I went together. She was a little reluctant about going because she was more in the mood for having a good, rowdy time. I don't know if you've ever been to this venue but it is pretty much the exact opposite of "rowdy". I'll set the scene for you. The people there are very serious about their bingo and it is quiet enough that you could hear a pin drop. Oh well, we still decided to go just for a few rounds. My mom had a drink or two before knowing there wouldn't be alcohol there so our table was already a little bit louder than the rest. We finally got our boards and got a couple games in. All of sudden my mom was asking the person next to her if the patt

The Mirror Incident A.K.A. No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

A few years ago my parents decided to get rid of their old dresser with a big mirror attached to it. They were just going to take it to the dump but I had a better idea. I suggested that we post it on Facebook to see if anyone would be interested in it and could have it for free as long as they picked it up. Somebody was interested in the dresser but long story short my dad and I would be delivering it. As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. We got the dresser loaded into the back of my dad's truck but because the mirror wouldn't come off (yet), it was not the sturdiest. I thought about sitting in the bed of the truck with it but we decided we would just drive realllly slow. The start of our long trek from the middle of town to the west end was going great until we got 4 blocks from home and turned onto Poly. As we took the turn the unthinkable happened. The mirror cracked off the dresser and shattered in the middle of Poly during 5 o' clock traffic! 😭 My dad

COFFEE TIME (Yes that's meant to be in a yelling voice😂)

Hey Hey and Happy Tuesday. Is it bad that one of the favorite parts of my days has become my (probably unhealthy) addiction to coffee? ⛾ Starting the day with a Keurig filling my mug with some hazelnut Black Rifle Coffee is a must. Walking to the City Brew kiosk on my lunch break to order a Montana Morning Latte is just the kick start my heart needs (get the Motley Crue reference? 😉🤘). And sometimes even grabbing some coffee in the evening to get stuff done at night is necessary. Then there's the cherry on top. When someone (like my boyfriend) delivers coffee to me at work, unexpectedly. The day instantly gets better...and much more productive. As a wise man once said, behind every successful person is a substantial amount of coffee. Stay caffeinated my friends.

Some Hump Day Motivation

Today I went to lunch with my dad and what started as a simple lunch at DQ turned into some needed motivation for the rest of my day (and week). We started talking about how working hard now really does set you up for a future of having the freedom to do what you want to do, and not just what you have to do. This turned into my dad telling me some of the practices he has always and continues to follow. To start he has always worked hard at what he does, whether that be a job, a sport, anything. He is always nice to people. He starts out everyday by being positive. For example he told me that he had just filled up a coffee punch card from the gas station that was good for a free coffee. Instead of redeeming it himself he gave it to the girl working there so she could enjoy this. Random acts of kindness are such a great thing in my eyes and something I have tried to participate in on a regular basis in many ways. It's so easy to get caught up in my own life that it is very refresh
